No SS Dinner Club in December
There will not be an SS Dinner Club during the month of Decebmer. We will instead be doing a cookie exchange. An invite was sent out on this. If you did not get it please me know if you did not get it and I will send it to you again.

Eva's Mexican Restaurant Review
The first stop for the SS Dinner Club was to go to Eva's Mexican Restaurant in Old Roseville. I am a big fan of going to small Mexican restaurants. The atmosphere is always fun, and the food is usually really well made. However, I was not impressed with Eva's.
The first thing that was not welcoming was that on a hot summer night the it felt as if the AC was either broken, or that they had avoided turning it on all together. The room was warm, muggy, and not very inviting.
I decided to order a shrimp dish, and my wife ordered a chimichanga. Neither of us liked what we ordered. The sauces on both dishes were fine, but the shrimp were cooked way too long and were gritty, and the chimichanga was not fried at all, and was basically a burrito. It was disappointing.
The one thing that was nice was that the quantity of food was incredible. The amount of food they dished up versus the price was impressive, but I would have accepted far less food that tasted good, than tons of food that I didn't want to finish.
Overall, the rest of the group seemed to be happy with the food, and it may be something that I'll try again in the future, but I would have to say that there are several other Mexican restaurants in the area that I would choose above this one.

Alright gang, so month two is hear and we have decided to visit a great burger joint in the area, The Counter. The Counter is located at the Fountains in Roseville. Dinner will be at 6:30pm again.

September's SS Dinner Date: Eva's Mexican Restaurant
Hey gang, we'll be kicking off the SS Dinner Club with good old fashion Mexican food. In an attempt to find great food in not so common places we have decided that this months stop will be at Eva's Mexican Restaurant in Old Roseville.
The ratings online are great, and the prices should fit most budgets. If you are considering going here is what I have managed to find online so far.

I'm not sure of the available space, so if you ARE planning on coming to hang out that night please let me know so that I can try to call ahead and get a table set up for us.
After the meal it should still be early so if anyone wants to make a later night of it I'm sure we can all think of something fun to do.
